Finishing touches

Well, I got the motor dropped in, blower bolted up and all the fluids in her.
Built 383, 8.5:1, D1SC, FMIC, ported AFR 210's, Custom cam, Ported LT4 intake, 60lb injectors, and an adj fpr from aeromotive. I'm picking up a booster pump from CALL911 to go with the walbro intank. Can someone show me where to hook up the vaccum line from the BOV, and I do not have a wideband set up, would it be a waste of time to get a mail ordertune, just to get it running and broke in??? I will take it this summer to get put on a dynoand tunned.

Thanks, Jason

Get a T-fitting and use the barbed line on the DS of the intake for the vac fitting. You can do mail order but I'd advise against it. If you do just don't get into the boost until you can find a place to have it dyno-tuned.

Glad to have another blower guy check in...Welcome!!! Based on the description, you should be making some real good power with it. I agree, share some pictures with us. Definately look into getting a wideband...you've spent too much money and time not to.

I would love to post some pics but I'm not allowed yet(too new ??) Also were does the plastic vacuum line bundled with the fuel lines hook up, I have it plugged in on the pass. side above the throttle body line.( this is where I need to post pics) So far I cannot get it to idle without holding the gas down and it is running pig rich. I need to take it and have it tuned, Procharger recomended LT1 edit. I can't wait to get it running.

nice, I can't wait to see pics. I'm actually putting together almost the same exact setup!! I just dropped my N/A 383 last weekend. I'm curious to know how much power you end up making so I have something to look forward to. Good Luck with the tuning.

With the 383, you might need to crack open the throttle blades a little more with the throttle stop screw and then re-adjust the TPS sensor to the correct voltage. You would need to slot the sensor screw hole a bit to do this. Also, be careful about that inline booster pump being capable of supplying enough fuel volume on the top end depending on how much power your making. A dual pump in parallel would be a safer setup and would give you plenty of volume, but you'll have to wait and see on the dyno. Sounds like you have the aeromotive boost referenced regulator. So, if your fuel pressure starts dropping under boost or you can't get the a/f dialed in at the top no matter how much you add to your tune, your falling short on fuel pump. Thats what happend to me with my setup. Pressure wouldn't rise with boost nor could i richen it up at the top no matter how much i gave it in the tune. That was with a single 255 and inline 255. I went dual 255 and had to take a bunch of fuel back out of my tune after that. And yeah, pic's are always welcome here.
