OK...turbo 355 5.7 rods. I have a set of LE2 heads..which were milled .10 and I plan on reusing them with my turbo engine. Right now with a .39??(or smaller maybe) .3 something..and the heads the compression is 11.2:1. I want to run up to 14psi on a 76mm. I know I have a set of awsome 7.150 pushrods and wanna keep em..what CC piston would I go with to keep the compression down..and what kinda head gasket?

 

probably something like a -28 with a decent head gasket

You are asking for more specific, but you aren't being specific .. More details about your heads please. What size combusion chamber are they now? Do you want to run pump gas or only race gas?

 

Im not sure..stock heads milled .010. They are LE2 heads. And I plan on running 10psi on pump and 14 or so on race.

 

Felpro 1074 gaskets.
SRP, JE or Ross Pistons. Stock heads are 57cc. -30cc pistons will net you around 8.8:1 compression ratio. Which is nice and safe for 10-15 lbs of boost.

Ok...my LE2s are 57CC so thats good. I did a compression calculator..

Cyl Bore: 4.030
Piston Stroke: 3.48
Headgasket Bore Dia: 4.030(wasnt sure about this one)
Compressed HG Thickn: .039
Comb. Chamber CC's :57
Piston Dome Volume :-24
Piston Deck Clearance :.015

Calculated Comp Ratio: 8.88

Thats what I came up with..and if thats how it will be thats good. Thats pretty much exactly what im looking for..I just wasnt sure about the headgasket bore diameter.(felpro 1074) or if I can find a better gasket

 

I've been running 1074s on my car for a while with 0 problems. I have ARP head studs as well. I run 15#'s of boost on pump gas.

Don't forget you had your heads milled, so, they are actually a little smaller than 57cc.

 

Ok yeah I was wondering about the headstuds they make that big of a difference? Im gonna be running 10/14 psi on a 76mm

and no...Lloyd ported them specifically for forced induction so they came out to 57cc+-1cc

 

I thought stock heads were approx. 54cc. Anyway, no point in guessing. I'd cc the heads before buying pistons.

 

 

The heads are 57cc
