well wtf, how do i fix this

RTV only works if the surfaces are dead true. Notice that some cast iron OEM manifolds use no gasket at all. That's because the surfaces are true and good quality finish.

thats way too thick...you want just enough to take up the imperfections in the surface...another thing is you should put it together as fast as possible...dont let it "skin over" because it should dry onto both surfaces...this will also prevent your bolts from backing out and getting loose which is another cause of them blowing out...

if this doesnt work, then your surfaces may be warped like mike mentioned..

Weird, if i actually liked you, you would know this is a new kit, and I have actually scrapped this whole idea. I got a driverside log done, and a passenger side. Passenger side hit the motor mount, so i cut off some of the piping, but i just dont care too much about the car these days. SOB is getting parted out and going bye-bye.
