WB users I have a question

OK, I am considering going and picking up Innovate LM-1 w/RPM today and would like to here from you guys on using the tailpipe method. I am going to use this on multiple cars so I want to use it in the tailpipe. I'm not paying $75 for there clamp set up, so if you do or have use the tailpipe method what type of apperatus did you use.

Your best bet honestly would be to have an exhaust shop weld a bung on each car for the most accurate readings. Looking at your mod list your going to want to get a good tune(max power) so i think it would be money well spend to have bungs welded in. You can still remove it and use it on all cars then too..

I can have the bung welded in to mine, but I still need to figure out a safe way to clamp it to the exhaust for other cars. $75 for a clamp is just retarded.

make your own clamp then. you just spent what, $300+ on the wideband? $75 for a clamp to make it easy to put in other vehicles seems like an easy choice to me.

I just found a peice of pipe the o2 sensor would fit through and welded the bung on the end. It is about 22'' long so it seems to get a good reading that far into the exhaust. Currently I am just using a small neadle nose vise script to hold it into the pipe. I also have a piece of foam pipe insulation around the cord so it does not scratch my bumper.

Thats the kind of stuff I am looking for. Ragtop, how thick was the pipe? Sturdy enough not to bounce up and down, or dose it rest on the bottom side of your exhaust with the sensor elevated(bung on top)?

It's 1/8'' thick, I used the handle off an old 3 ton floor jack and cut it off.
