The way ATI SHOULD have done the intake.

I was never impressed with the ATI duct work from the intercooler y - pipe to the TB. The stock system has a 4 inch rubber connector to a 4 inch steel connector (only reason for THAT is to hold the air temp sensor) and then to a 90 degree rubber elbow to the TB that swelled up like a balloon.
I originally relocated my MAF up top and I used a rubber connector from Home Depot but it still looked cheesy.
Recently I got a FAST so I have no need for the MAF. That meant I had to figure out how to go from the Oval intercooler y-pipe to the TB.
This is my solution.

What you see here is a Vortech polished elbow that I bought off the web.
That is connected to a 3.5 inch special connector. It allows two metal pipes to butt next to each other and has a WIDE band clamp. I do not know its proper name - zturbo actually got it for me.
I picked up a 3.5 inch stainless steel pipe about 10 inches long from a scrap yard for $5.00 CDN. I polished about 5 inches - the other half is not polished - because I will have to cut it to size when I reinstall it and I'll only need 3 - 5 inches of the stainless pipe.
Next I have a silicon 4.00 inch to 3.5 inch connector from Turbo Innovation in CA. Only cost about $19.00 but after shipping, tax and all the rest of the crap, it hit my doorstep at about $70 which is VERY expensive. You US guys only have to pay $10 shipping.
The 3.5 inch obviously goes on the SS pipe and the 4.00 inch has to go on the oval intercooler pipe. I will put t-clamps on it of course.
I will also be getting the y-pipe chromed.
And there you have it. It is going to look damn fine when it is all installed. Of course it will have cost about $300 CDN just to look good LOL

By the by, I do not think they have a lot of that particular part in stock. He was surprised when I asked for it and more surprised when he looked it up and found he had it on hand.
Lucky me
