quietest supercharger

What is the quietest supercharger. By that I mean which one is the hardest to hear when you are outside the car. I know some of them are pretty loud and I don't want it to be easily noticeable that I had a supercharger.

I think Vortech has an SQ series blower that is suppose to be very quiet. THe ATI blowers are loud regardless if it is self contained or not.

Powerdyne is by far the quietest one out there. I love it beacuase most people don't know what hit them when i blow by them

So do the vortech and powerdyne as efficient as the ATI or is that just a tradeoff that you have make?

If you want a quiet blower than I would go with Vortech. It seems for the most part most people either go with an ATI or Vortech setup. The reason I would go Vortech over Powerdyne is because there are more boost upgrades available.

I have heard that the ATI makes more power and is more efficient because of the way that it is cooled? I don't know if this makes sense or not. Just wondering.

What are your goals ?? Vortech offers an Air TO Water intercooler or you can have a custom one made by Spearco. The basic ATI system comes with an intercooler so it will allow you to run a little more boost (8lbs) on a stock shortblock while the basic Vortech system which is not intercooled allows for 6lbs. Both blowers are good. Are you planning on rebuilding your motor? If not I would not reccommend buying any blower.

I have ran 3 blower on my car.

Vortech T-trim = LOUD
Vortech SQ-trim = Soft whine, but noticable
Powerdyne = totally stealth

You wanted to know the quietest out there? Powerdyne is the answer, hands down.

Now as for power... take that list and do it Missy Elliot style, flip-it-an-reverse it. P-dyne good for 7# boost max, while Vortech T-trim can feed 20# to a 800hp beast.

You want power or stealth? That is the question!

I guess I figured that there would be a tradeoff somewhere. I see that you had your 383 done by nutek. That is who I was looking at to do mine. What was your experience with them? Thanks for all of the info everyone.
