Wastegate Sizing???

I am in the process of piecing together a turbo setup and needed to know what size wastegate I should go with to support things. The turbo will be between 74-88mm whatever I decide on, and some where in the 600-800rwhp area. Please let me know what you guy think.

Thanks Patrick

A 38mm Turbosmart ultra gate should be more than sufficient for what you are planning. I am going to be running this gate on my PTK setup with 76GTS precision head unit. My goal is around 900+rwhp. Call jose at forced inductions, he carries tons of turbosmart stuff. I was going to run a 48mm but was advised is was not needed. Happy holidays!

Re: Wastegate Sizing???

I have a Tial 38mm wastegate that I bought off a friend..was hoping this would be enough so that I do not have to buy a bigger one.

Re: Wastegate Sizing???

The Tial you have should work just fine. The turbosmart is a better gate, but there really isnt alot of diffrence, just overall quality for the most part. Don't make the mistake of buying some huge wastegate that you dont need.
