wanting to go with BOOST...

main problem is my current motor is about 11.5:1 , has keith black pistons and eagle rods that wont support the power i want to make.

i dont want to involve alot of money in this either (i have too many other projects), so basically, i want to know what i can get away with.

can i run the stock crank, and NOT do a splayed 4 bolt main setup on the block and produce enough power to trap in the mid 130's?? my car is a full weight car BTW it still has every factory option.

heres what ive brewed up so far:
pull currently running, recently machined engine (about 10k miles on it) buy some Eagle H beams, dished JE/Weisco/or even TRW's, and just ring and bearing my current block. and get my machinist to balance my new rotating assembly. get a small blower cam, and look for either a used S-Trim or a Procharger. i have a Super FMU laying around to tune, i'd like to keep the stock PCM and speed density with a chip setup.

i dont want to get wild with the car yet, thats why i dont want to pour alot of $$ into this motor, thus why i dont want a splayed 4 bolt main stroker, i'd rather just do a stock crank, low compression, mild cam'd good driving, but haul *** with some boost setup.

i know this probally sounds dumb, i shouldnt be racing cars if i dont want to spend any money... i know.

but hey, i do still want an 03/04 Cobra, and ive got some jetskis i need to get running too.

thanks for any advice.

Depending on which eagle rods you're using, I would probably say to invest in a forged crank or at the very least, a Scat 9000. Trying to trap 130 with a stock crank isn't a great idea. You can get a Scat crank for around $230 from a few places in Jax. What's your time frame for purchasing a blower?
