Vortech Supercharger on EBay

Hey, I thought everyone would get a kick out of this ad on EBay for a Vortech supercharger kit. Seems like a mad ex-wife is selling off some of her ex's toys. Anyhow I was tempted to buy but with 0 seller rating and being a possible legal mess (if ex comes back for it). I'm holding out for a Procharger P1SC kit.

Its very possible. I've always been told that if it's too good to be true, then it probably is. The seller in the listing even said that it was worth $4000, yet was selling it for $900?!?!?!?!? The other facts is she just became a seller this month, has no seller feedback, and isn't using a safer payment service such as Paypal that gives the buyer some protection in case the seller is selling junk. I'd rather pay an extra $1000 for a supercharger from someone that is reputable.

just a quick story:
I was looking for a supercharger last year and i found one on ebay. emailed back and forth with the guy for a couple weeks. cleimed he was selling it for his brother and didn't know alot about it. but he kept getting stuff mixed up. he did say it was brand new tho, p600b kit with twin hiflos for $1100 free shipping from europe...

EUROPE??? kind suprised me. he also said beat around the bush when i said i wanted to do esrow or paypal. anyway, he was convincing enough and i put the money through via western union.

THANK GOD FOR WESTERN UNION! they called me about 20 min lter saying the would not let me send the money. appearantly it "happens ALOT" this people say they have great deals and want you to wire the money over. Anyway, saved me like $1100 bux

Look for:
-too good to be true items
-private auctions where you cant contact the other bidders(im sure he was emailing all the other 9 bidders trying to get them to send money)
-ppl that dont know what there selling. if you buy a superchager kit for $4000, you will know if its a p1-sc, vortech etc and what intercooler it has.
-never buy with out pictures

Ouch! Definately sounds like a scam. At least if the seller is on paypal and has a verified address where he/she ships from, you have a better chance of "settling up" with the person that tries to scam you She will probably take the money, run, and then her name on EBay will magically disappear...along with the money.
