Vortech Strim Question

I was wondering if I am trying to turn my Strim too much. I have a 6" crank and 2.93 SC pulley, I am shifting at 6800 but having a few issues above 6200, am I spinning it too far?

LJ was using a 7" crank and a 2.75" blower pulley on an S-trim and he ran 9.95 at 139 mph at full weight, so I think you're fine.

Your still not past the 50k rpm limit with that setup. Your only a little past 48k rpm. So like engineermike said, your fine. A T-trim with a 7" crank pulley and a 4" intake pipe would make a nice upgrade though.

Does anyone know where I can get a bigger crank pulley for an s-trim. I want to use that to increase my boost - but vortech says they do not make them anymore...

Call ASP. http://www.aspracing.com/intro.htm They will make one for you in any size you want. They also have all the dimentions, so tell them you have an S-trim on an LT1 and the'll know backspacing and everything. If you have an aftermarket damper, let them know also cause they can make the bolt pattern to match also. Thats where i got my 7" pulley. I have an ATI damper also. Just told them my blower, that it's on an LT1 with an ATI damper. They already had all the measurements. When i installed it, it was a perfect fit and the belt was perfectly aligned. They seem to do nice work.
