Question Vortech S-Trim, Methanol Injection

I've been eyeballin' the D1-SC for quite some time, but since the motor is back out getting low-compression pistons, now is the time to make up my mind. Is anyone running Methanol Injection with an S-Trim? My buddy has one that never made it to his 97 Z, and the price is right on a brand new supercharger so I'm thinking about going that route. Not exactly what I wanted...but if it's somewhat close, then the savings of 3 g's makes think about it. How much boost can you squeeze out of these things on a 383 with an S-Trim. On that note, I've heard of people using methanol with or without an intercooler. Just wondering if anyone has had any luck with it. I'm a licensed gasfitter, and the gas company I work for buys Methanol buy the 55 gal drum. Therefore making it a freebie for me. Makes sense to include that in the setup somewhere.

Jake,

Here's a 9.94@139 run with a 383/S-trim combo:

Rich Krause on this board has run his F1 Procharger with no IC, but with water/methanol injection. Last time I noticed, he was around 700 rwhp or so, so I'd say it works. This site has some really good info on alky injection:

I've given the free methanol use some serious consideration too!

PS- I want my ROH Snypers back...

I've heard a couple people talking about the Alkycontrol system, haven't heard anything bad yet. Just wanna know if people have had good luck with it thus far. I'm not worried about fabrication time for an intercooler if it's gonna make it more reliable, but it does seem like a lot easier to do.

Those ROH Snypers are in love with my car now...I saved them from possible distruction from the "Big Bang Theory". We'll leave it at that
