which valve covers for shaft rockers

It's probably time for me to give up on my much-hammered (and original!) valve covers. 45k pic here Which aftermarket valve covers clear shaft rockers? TIA!

just go to ebay and do a search for valvecovers......all you need to get is a "tall" version

they have them on there for cheap

Think the LT4 covers would clear them? Mine look really sweet w/ the MBA billet dress-up kit on them.

All depends on the manufacture you go with. I have crower and they fit under the new proform(GM) covers. They are 1/4" taller then stock

I have T&D shaft mounts on my car. I got a set of Moroso sheet metal covers (I believe) that I bought off of a guy on here that had been cut and welded to make room for the alternator. They are a pretty tight fit around the alternator, but other than that they have all kinds of room for the rockers. I do not like the fact that you have to RTV the gaskets to the covers since they do not have a rail as such to put the gasket in...but they seem to seal pretty good and do not have any leaks.

The stock covers nor the Vette covers will clear the T@D rockers....they are about 1/4" to short.

Off topic, but how do you like your Jessel rockers? After talking with them and T&D I would not have bought the Jessel rockers. Jessel wasn't sure if their SS rockers would be strong enough (I am only running 240lb seat pressure springs) and their reg. rockers were a couple hundred more than the T&D ones I got on sale.

I bought some tall centerbolt valve covers off ebay for $70. I needed them to clear a stud girdle. I had to do a lot of cutting and grinding on them to get them to fit. My alternator is located on the bottom of the block so I didnt have to worry about that.

I'm beginning to wonder if any off-the-rack cover will clear my T&D shafties and my stock location alternator. It's not clear from their web site or catalog that the Proform 141-130/131/132 series will clear an f-bod alternator.
