Re: UPDATE Pic's

I'm planning on using the Versafueler also. Is it a plug-n-play setup or is it a cut and splice? I saw the connectors and got a little confused.

Re: UPDATE Pic's

Schurter -- Thanks for sharing photos. How 'old' would you say that Versafueler is? I just got mine last week, and it actually looks nothing like that. I guess they must have redesigned it at some point. I'll snap some photos...

Also, I was going to ask where you mounted (or are going to mount) your MSD booster. Racetronix said to mount it as close to the fuel pump as possible. They know far more about it than I do, but I'm not certain if it would make a HUGE difference either way. I'm not sure what fuel pump you're running, but I don't believe we are to exceed 16v with the Walbro 255...

N2Oblkz -- You have to splice into the factory wiring -- between the fuel injectors and the computer. All 8 injectors share the same power source, but the computer is fed all 8 separate injector ground wires -- & decides when to ground out each injector, as I understand it. The VersaFueler intercepts the 'control wire' to the computer, but also has its own separate power/ground wires. So, there's some wiring involved. You've got 16 splices to make, and then your power/ground.

The BAP i am going to look into the rear seat? I am running everything that racetronix sells...and i read a post where they talked about putting it under there D/S rear seat put the BAP at full and with the heavy wire the Voltage should fall down to 16.5V and that is what you want....

Yes you have to cut into the factory wiring not a big deal i hard wired mine in just to be safe and used heat shrink....

Re: UPDATE Pic's

I put my MSD BAP under the driver side rear trim panel by making an aluminum bracket for it to sit on, and then ran the pressure line & wiring under the trim panel then under the rear driver side seat out the plug at the bottom (ran the pressure hose inside of 3/8 aluminum fuel line for protection) and made connections to the Racetronix harness OK.

YMMV on the pressure line routing since my turbo is at the "wrong" end of the car .

Here are 2 pics of the BAP install:
