I am trying to do a budget minded turbo build up and am looking at the To4B turobs. How much power will a twin set up like this support? I am looking to make in the 700-800 RWHP range. These turbos will be going on an 8.3 to 1 compression 406 sbc with proaction 220cc heads. Also what a/r should I look for on both sides? Thanks for the input.

 

I think they'll be fine for what you want. For a fairly quick spool, look for a .60 or so A/R.

 

What A/R should I look for on the compressor side? I would like a quick spool, but I want to still be able to spin to 6000 rpm or so.

 

 

I say budget minded with a grain of salt. This is why I am looking at the T04B turbo, you can find them for a good price.

 

heh........."budget minded" is just relative to your income.

if youre rolling in dough, then $20-30k might be your idea of a low dollar "budget" build up.

ie building a boosted viper or something.
