Turbotech guys, I need some help
Hey guys, when I bought my kit a few months back I didn't get the oil feed line fitting from the oil filter to the line itself. I ordered one from turbotech, but not sure if I recieved the correct one. I took a picture of it and wanted to let you guys see it to see if its the right one. Let me know....thanks

Hey did they send you instructions with your kit? I bought a used kit for my 96 TA , and the only instructions I have are the ones off the Turbotech website, which are pretty crappy. I'm sure I can figure everything out, but good instructions, and a BOM would help.
Nope, I have no instructions, and the ones on the turbotech website are crummy. I just need to see what the fitting looks like that is suppose to be on the filter that feeds the turbo. The rest of the kit is already installed and done...that is the only thing left to do.

The hole above the oil filter is 1/4" NPT. Hole on the turbo is 1/8" NPT. I have an ordinary 1/4" hydraulic line. It really is nothing special. 1/4 inch fitting with 1/4" NPT threads screws into the block, attach the line to this (the end that has a ferrule and a 90 deg bend) then route the hose up and forward to the turbo and attach it there. I have a 45 deg 1/4 inch hydraulic fitting with 1/8" NPT threads at the turbo.
I've got a pic of my engine compartment that shows the hose unfortunately it doesn't show the connections to the turbo or block. I was not able to veiw the pic of your hose. Mine was green. A friend that i sold all my old turbo stuff to just made his own from work with regular 1/4" hydraulic hose and fittings. You should be able to pick up the fittings at a farm store (like Fleet Farm if ya have one around) or just a hardware store.

Any hose that is oil resistant will work. I made a new one with my new turbo using 1/2 hose and some barb fittings. I welded a bung on the pan when i rebuilt the engine though. just try and make it a downslope from the turbo to the engine, it really is kinda hard with the turbo location, but the bearing section can be rotated some, just loosten the bolts on the exhaust housing, and turn it (compressor housing bolts will have to be loostened and the housing turned too)

Ok went through my stuff i have piled up.. The oil feed i had from the filter boss... It was just a a-n line conector that went to the oil line then to the turbo which was angles a little bit to ease install. Looks like the one they sent is fro a pressure sensor addition of the sort. Not sure though.

Well looks like I'm going to have to go to the hardware store then....crud. I guess I will send the fitting back to turbotech. SteveN, if the fitting you have is just laying around, let me know how much you want for it. I need to get this line connected, or this car won't run....hehe
