A few words about cmotorsports

Hi guys I have to take the time and give some props to cmotorsports.com. (The person to go to is Seth tell him i sent you) As all of you know from the past posts I was having a hard time getting the custom com cam 224/236 on the time frame I needed. (check out the thread)
http://web.camaross.com/forums/showt...threadid=48566

This was the last piece of the puzzle to complete my new engine.
Well I must say they came through with flying colors and had the best price. Not only did I buy the cam from them but I also pick up there custom springs, matching retainers, and locks. (These springs are a perfect match for the cam, up to 600 lift and do not require any machining to the head)
The price was awesome and the service was out standing. I ordered the cam on a Friday and received it the following morning at 9:30 am (I almost fell over when I hear the ups man banging on my door so early) I was so happy because I did not have to wait all day to put the cam in.

Note: I contact some of the other venders that this board lists and I was not to happy with some of there answers and since they are selling f-body stuff you would figure they would know A little bit more about the products they are selling. Especially cams, and valve spring etc. (cough cough Thunder racing/ Tbyrne motorsports you guys need to talk to your tech guys and give them a refresher course.)

I am not advertising cmotorsports.com for them but, I thought I will give credit were it is needed and if any of my f –buds needs parts this is the place to go. They were extremely knowledgeable about the parts they were selling and got the stuff to me asap so in my book that’s two thumbs up

Here’s an update so far. I just cracked 350 miles on the new combo. I have not yet installed the blower (waiting to put some more miles on it before I hammer it)
I am absolutely impressed with the cam and the way it performs without the blower (I thought it would be a little mushy). It idles nice (a little rumty rump just enough let someone know it’s not your moms car) it does not surge or any of those bad things even with the stock programming. And man does this cam pull hard in the upper rpms. I should have the blower installed by this weekend. So if this cam preformed well in n/a form I am pretty sure it will rock in sc form. Well if you guys want me to keep you up dated let me know .

A big thanks goes out to cmotorsports.com

Jim

www.Cmotorsports.com do rock.

I was there with Jim when he got the package on Saturday morning and Not only were they extremely professional and knowledgeable but they also sent samples of other springs and retainers and did an awesome job on the packaging too. I was so impressed that I called them up and bought my 50# MSD injectors from them (They also gave me a great price on the injectors too)

Cmotorsports rock!!

I would like to also add a comment for them. I ordered a custom Turbo cam for my 383/T76 combo. They were very informative, and knew alot about turbo LT1 setups. Plus they had my cam to my doorstep in a week, so I was very happy to say the least...Thanks Cmotorsports

I also purchased a 224/236 cam from Seth and he was very knowledgable and received the product from them within a week. They also have pretty good pricing on genuine GM parts too.

In defense of ThunderRacing, I bought that same cam from them a little over a week ago, and got it in 7 days.

Hi I tried to be nice about it but when I called over there they really could not give me much usable information on cam specs other then what’s posted on the web site (like the intake centerline, which is very important info,) and valve spring requirements. (It seemed like they did not have much experience with the way it preformed expect for hear say). And what pissed me off the most is that when I called to order the cam from them they said “yes yes” they had it in stock. … (I made one of the guys put me on hold and double check) then he took down my credit card info and (charged it). I then received a call back in about hour later stating they did not have it and it would take about 12-14 days to get it. He claimed he thought I was talking about the cc305 cam but I remember repeating it like 4 times the part number and the specs on the cam I wanted.

I am just posting from my experience I am sure each vendor has it’s strong points but when Seth took the time to answer my post and call me back a few times to help me out I think that deserves a shout out.

I have that same cam in my NA motor and it is a great cam. Mine is ground on a 112lsa and I'm assuming yours is ground on a 114 for the blower. You should have good luck with this cam and the blower.

If I went through all that with them, I'd be pissed too. Guess I got lucky. That's cool that cmotorsports was able to help you out though.

Idle has a nice lope to it. It lopes way more than a Hotcam, but not nearly as radical as a CC306. You'll like this cam.
