Turbos not draining fast enough?

When the turbos spool up im getting oil burning out the exhaust, it doesnt seem that the turbos are draining quick enough and I am curious how other people are draining twin turbos. Im running a scavenge pump that tees from two 8an lines into one 8an line then into the pump which reduces to 6 an then back to 8an where it goes into the pan. The intake for the oil lines are 4an, maybe this is too much oil going into the turbos? Are there restrictors i can use to stop so much oil going to the turbos?

-4 line for inlet is fine. -10 for outlet is minimum required for optimum flow, but -12 is better.

I have the 8AN line teeing into one line then into the scavenge pump Scavenge pump is basically an external oil pump. Im thinking maybe i need another scavenge pump or restrict the 4an line going into the turbos.

Are the turbo's new, so you can rule out the possibility of the oil seals being bad? IF not maybe a rebuild is needed? I would think the scavange pump would be able to keep the center sections drained!

What jet size would work best for restricting the incoming oil?

On my twins I run -4 with 60psi of oil pressure. I run -10 return on each turbo. As you can see in my website, the turbos are mounted high so I dont have any problems. I bet your problem is a combination of the -8 line and putting a T in line. As that oil rolls out of the turbo its really thick and doesnt move very fast. The small line restricts it right at the turbo. I say if your going to use a T. Use -12 line out of the turbos into the T and pump -10/12 to the pan.

Im not sure if my turbos even need the 4an line going into the turbos because they are pretty small and they are true ball bearing turbos. Precision turbo said they had some custom restrictors that would work with my setup so I think i may try this first, then if there still is a problem ill switch to bigger drain lines.

Talking where are the new VACUUM Lines At?

Hi all...I have a 2002 V6 Camaro which i'm about to install a turbo

Every setup I see is on older cars and the Vacuum line off the TB
is not in the same location as the newer 3800's (the line used for the FMU, Boost gauge, wastegate, and BOV)
If anyone has any idea where GM changed that too..it would be greatly appreciated...Thx
