That side is not visible from the top. I'll get it up on ramps tomorrow or Sat and shoot it from the underside and report.

I will be excited to see what you pick up with this turbo... also hope you get it running properly!

16 or more crimp splices - not sure I'd use that method of connecting all those important wires.

Re: Turbo Upgrade :)

Lol... no, I'd never do crimps on something like this. I always solder anything that is even remotely permanent.

Good news today! First, when I arrived last night, my new EFI fuel injector tester was already here. So, first thing this morning, I went out, lifted the hood, started the engine and then took the tool to each injector. Only cyl#2 was intermittent. I'd broken that connectors wire awhile back by leaning my forearm on it routinely as I worked on this that and the other over the years. I redid the wiring at the time but it must have been a crappy effort. I pulled off connector #2 and probed it with my multimeter. It's getting a full 12v but who knows if the PCM/Acceleronics box is pulling the circuit to ground like it should. So, as a test to see if it was the injector itself, while the engine was still running, I kept conn#2 off injector #2, then pulled conn#4 off of injector #4 and put conn#4 on injector #2. When I lifted conn#4 off of injector #4, the idle dropped noticeably. When I clicked conn#4 on injector #2, the idle picked back up. I tried that a few more times to make sure and each time the idle behavior reacted the same. That convinced me that injector #2 was fine. It must be either the connector or the wires.

I have a spare 96 M6 Wiring harness that I bought a few years ago so I could cannabalize the connectors when I needed. I cut conn#2 off that spare harness and replaced my stock conn#2 with the spare. After it was soldered and heat shrunk, I started the engine again. Viola! It runs smooth! I took her for a test drive and it's excellent

I'm still dialling in my SD tune but I can tell you, the intermediate throttle response (idle to substantial boost) is already immensely better. Much more crisp and authoritive. I suppose because the fueling is applied in a more linear fashion as opposed to my prior MAF tune that just dumped fuel as soon as the MAF max'd out.

My new turbo got here a week or two ago and my new Hotside should be here next week so I'm pumped!
