Turbo Selection Help
Turbo Selection Help
Car: Stock Block LS1
Goal: 600 HP capacity- Wanting to make 500rwhp @9psi
Setup: Twin Turbos, IC will be Air/Air - either a large front mount to two stock supra cores. Fuel is already taken care of.
An online calculator points to me needing a Garrett T3 .63 A/R turbine housing.
I'm thinking a T3/T4 would work well, but i'm getting confused by wheel size, trim, etc. I'd like something easy and reliable, not costing a fortune.
I found a place that has a T3/T4 .63 Turbine with a T04E 57-Trim compressor, which sounds close, but please inform me.
Thanks,
Mike

Ya for a 4th gen, with ur guys small little engine compartments, I think the packaging for a single would be best. I think if you factor in cost of a single turbo vs twin turbo setup the single would win out cause though the turbos may be cheaper in the twin setup, you also have to factori in two of everything basically.
But to each his own.
www.turbonetics.com Performance Technologies
www.precisionte.com Precision Turbo and Engine
www.innovativeturbo.com Innovative Turbo Systems
Those three are really great places, talk to their tech guys, they know their stuff soooo well.

Ease I have to go with the single turbo route unless you are willing to move some stuff then it is about the same.
Places to get a turbo..
Innovative turbo or Limit Engineering.
Limit Engineering
Innovative turbo
I had my turbos built by John Craig at Limit Engineering and have gotten things from Innovative and have been extreimily happy with both choices. I would personally get on the phone and start to talk with both shops and see what you need and what they recomend for your setup. For a total goal of 600 hp I would take a look at a t-66 through t-70 should suit your goals very well and spool up will be very nice.

Definitely agree that John Craig and Innovative are absolutely _GREAT_ to work with. Both places know there stuff, and the service is awsome. John Craig came through for me in a pinch when my turbo's compressor wheel ate it, and innovate has some great products that are priced very well.
