Turbo Questions

Just a thought in the very very back of my mind... What would have to be the engine requirements to turbo a 10:1 small block chevy???? Is this compression too high?? I was thinking it was a little high... Also, what type of fuel injection setup would be required??? Thanks.

the compression is a little high. Most setups require 8.5:1 to 9:1 at the most. 10:1 will work if you check and re-check clearances and make sure everything is letter perfect and run only race fuel. My friend has a race car that has a big vorteck blower on it and he is running 10:1 compression with race fuel and 18 lbs of boost. But then again it is a race car.

Just stick to 6-7 PSI and run good gas and you should be fine. You won't be able to turn up the boost too much with 10:1 compression.
