Turbo Question

I just had a set of custom turbo headers made, finally got a chance to install them and realized the the oil return from the turbo is lower than the oil pan. Is this going to be a problem, if so how big of one ? Will I be able to run this as is without destroying anything, or will I need to add a remote pump to bring the oil back to the pan ? The line only needs to be about 18 inches long also. Any information would be appreciated, just trying to find out before I burn anything up. Thanks

Mike

Re: Turbo Question

Yeah, a simple Tilton scavanging pump will work fine.

Should've taken the pan level into account when building the headers. Chalk it up to a lesson learned I suppose.

Re: Turbo Question

If I were the person builing the headers I would have, thats what I get for trusting someone to know what they are doing.

Re: Turbo Question

Would you happen to know the tilton part # for the pump ? Would the pump also have to be mounted lower than the turbo, or could it be placed above it ?
