For some reason the headlight setup on that car reminds me of that coffee guy from the madtv sketches.

Re: Turbo LT1 - Check it out

Sorry....I puked in my mouth a little.

I don't care for the turbo placement or the car as a whole. But as long as you're happy with it, that's all that matters.

Re: Turbo LT1 - Check it out

I am going to make more this fall.

Sparkplugs from underneath car.

SunCoast hood.

On factory installs some other mods must be made in the area of ABS and Pass side cross over. I am working with a stainless duel under hood kit right now, but looks like it will require a bubble or cowl on factory hoods except ram air - also depend on power level.

Thanks Guys...

Re: Turbo LT1 - Check it out

is the black car the one in your sig? how much boost?

the kit on the black car looks interesting except the first two primaries on the driver side just kinda right-angle into the collector, that cant be good for flow.
and is it just me or does the whole passenger bank empty into just half of the collector before the turbo?

Yes it is the car in the sig, #'s at 15psi. New system has close to = length runners. The "stove pipe" is open on inside with a couple of airfoils to direct flow and reduce hot spots and high-pressure areas. Efficiency drops off after 18PSI. Car made 520 RWP @ only 8PSI and <5 PSI exhaust pressure. At 16PSI boost and exhaust pressure cross and rises almost y=x^2. This fall will see a new system again.

Guys this is not the best system, however, it does use fewer bends and breaks then some of the systems on the market. One should test some of the other systems for exhaust pressure vs intake pressure. One may be surprised... This system is but a proof of concept testing theories of thermal dynamics regarding efficiency gained through the natural tendencies of hot pockets of air.

Re: Turbo LT1 - Check it out

what kind of turbo lag do you experience with the T-88? just curious because I went with a T-76GTS because my friend had a T-88 an it lagged a little, an when he went to the T-76GTS it was like a while new animal, but i imagine the top end power is still unbelievable once it spools

Not much lag. We are using a good turbo cam. When I had a six speed in it and 4:10 in the rear I never experienced much lag. Now we are running a t400 with 4000 rpm stall so lag is not that big of a factor. I am also running about 9:1 compression and a big down pipe to inc. dif pressure.

Re: Turbo LT1 - Check it out

The turbo setup is wierd, why the hell is it out of the hood.

We should have our twinturbo lt1 setup done in the next few weeks. I have already made one header and will hopefully start on the other one this week. Will keep you posted...will have pics hopefully soon.

I do not know why anyone would want it sticking out the hood. I was able to keep mt t-88 under the hood on the same side.

There should have been several on the page, even a couple of the engine on the stand...
