Wink Turbo on carbed engine?

I am currently building a low compression vortec headed 355, My freind has a 66mm hybrid t3/t4 turbo forsale that I was considering buying. Can anyone tell me the accessories i would need to acomplish this. I know i need a blowthrew carb but how many psi of fuel would i need to run around 12 lbs of boost? I will probrobly mount the turbo sts style. And it will be in a 88 sport coupe ( v6 ) camaro.

Thanks for the info and if anyone has any other information feel free to post. Thanks!

18 psi of fuel pressure or thereabouts. Just boost reference a return regulator and you'll be fine. (reference from the hat, not the manifold)

Don't just rear-mount any old turbo. Rear-mounts require specifically designed exhaust housings.

Re: Turbo on carbed engine?

In my opinion, you need a fuel system that can support 20psi.

6 (standard fuel pressure for carb) + 12 (~lbs of boost) + 2 (safety factor to account for G's, line bends/friction, etc) = ~20psi

Aeromotive A1000 is the common pump used with at least -08 lines.
