Toughts on this Rotating assembly

http://www.lunatipower.com/Product.aspx?id=343&gid=185 I know the crank and rods will be fine, but what about these pistons? The car is a street car pushing 10-12 psi.
Thanks

those will be fine, but you can get -31cc pistons for a 383 which would be better off

What do -31 cc pistons put the compression ratio at?

roughly 8.5 to 1 with 60cc combustion chambers......... I have a compstar kit for sale. 3.750 stroke, 4.030 bore, 6" rod, -31cc diamond dish piston and all forged. Pistons are custom order through compstar. PM me if your interested.

How much power are you making on your kit? It is almost exactly like a kit i was looking to purchase except it had a lunati crank. I kinda thought twice about it because a few people talked about the fact the -31cc pistons couldnt hold as much power. thanks!

what Ford is talking about, is that the -31s have a deeper dish, making more of the top around the ringlands thinner, creating more of a possibilty of cracking a piston, etc.

Exactly! I was typing on my phone while driving my company car when I wrote that, so I was not completely paying attention to the fact I was so vague with my question.

Thanks for the clarification!

something you could do, that would be your best option for a HIGH hp car, call ross and get a custom piston, they will make a shorter piston that sits down further in the hole. This will be a custom flat top piston, eliminates the thin sidewalls of the deep dish mass made pistons, and much stronger.

They arent too badly priced either, i believe around 700/set.
