Question timing retard ... ?

>now that the Camaro is running I need to know where to start with the retard dial (and I don't mean me either ) .
I have the MSD 6AL with boost timing master .

Isn't there a "general rule of thumb" with the amount of timing to pull with so much boost ?

Honestly I wouldnt even bother with the retard box. i would have it tuned on the dyno and add and decrease timing as needed. B/c supercharged boost goes up per rpm makes it alot easier to tune with.

I believe the maximum amount of timing it will pull is 15*

Set it to 2 and see how it goes and listen / watch for knock.

It will not hurt to have some race gas in it for inital testing just to be on the safe side.
