thoughts on this blower cam?

Duration Lobe lift lift w/1.5 lift w/1.6

224/240 .349/.372 .523/.558 .558/.596

LSA 116

Overlap .6

Intake centerline 111.9 ATDC

valve open .2 BTDC
Close 44.6 ABDC

Exhaust centerline 119.9 BTDC

Valve open 60 BBDC
close .4 ATDC

I was wondering about running this in:
92 Z
383
9.5 to 1
Miniram
AFR 195 eliminator
Procharger 10-12 psi
6 speed
4.10 gear
6500 max RPM
Street/Strip
A/C P/S P/B
Looking for 500-600 RWHP

This is a TPIS ZZ9X cam.
I've been told that its too much of a split between the intake and exhaust for the AFR heads. I was told that its more for a stock head that needs the exhaust bias because of the poor stock port.

How do you guys think it would run with the AFR's?

Any suggestions for a cam?

I'd like to run the lift around .600 as thats where the AFR's top out.
I'd like to keep the LSA around 114-116 for a decent idle and low overlap

I think your quickest and most likely successful answer will come from a cam manufactuer like Cam Motions. Unfortunately, a lot of shops won't recommend a cam if they don't get either a guaranty you'll buy it from them or they'll want a 'fee'. It's understandable on one hand. Time for them is money and spending time with a potential client noting all the specs of the car, engine, transmission, gears, power adders, ultimate use, hp goals, then calculating a spec only to have the client say, "Okay, thanks" and hang up, well. It's frustrating. I ran into that with my turbo cam. I ordered a spec from CamMotions and got it. A member from here or ls1tech told me he was suspicious of CM's specs so I decided to try Bret Bauer. Bret told me upfront there was no way he was going to spec a cam for me until I paid for it up front. I did. Funny thing was, his spec was almost exactly the same as the CamMotions spec. Anyway, I love my cam and setup. The car drives as civil as a bone stock LT1 in traffic and flys when it's into boost

Best of luck to you.

I agree with dave. All you have to do is call cam motion and tell them your set up and they will call you back and tell you the specs and believe me you wont be disappointed. My cam was hand delivered by the guy i spoke with on the phone luckily i live just outside of Baton Rouge. This is most defiantly who i would suggest.
