He sold the civic back after the origional owner had a nervous breakdown of sorts.

Pinks Asked me to slow my car down after the ricers gave them a BS story about blowing their engine. These guys started their street racing tactics a few weeks before the race. When they interveiwed they told pinks it was a mid ten second car then once they had a confirmed opponent they started coming up with excuses. I would guess that they finnally put the car on the track and saw it wasn't as fast as they thought from all their street racing success. They never blew their engine all lies but they did convince pinks so I detuned my car as far as possible with a couple tricks up my sleave to dial power back in if needed. We also had a laptop ready with the kill tune and I told pinks if they were pulling any tricks I was gonna need five minutes to throw in the new program and they agreed. Jeff

I must say that I wished that I was able to be as calm and cool as you. Much respect for the way you and your team handled things.

lifting the tires off of the ground when you launch...imainge toting a set of tires, one in each hand if that helps
I remember seeing your car at Jeff's when I went to get mine tuned. I got there too late to hear it run, but my friend's said it was sick.
