Aaron: I know people don't like to hear this. But it has been discussed here a lot. If you do a search you can learn a lot about the subject and then come back with a more specific question. If you don't get a lot of response it's because people may be "talked out" on this subject.

Yea, search, but typically, you want a cam with a LC of 114. LPE has one specs out at .050 215/220 on 114 lc. I'm considering that one and the 211/219 on 112 lc

I just got my 224/236 Comp. cam in, but I haven't started the car yet. Darn oil pan seal.

Excellent cam for street/strip use with stock heads in an LT1 with a blower:

CC XE 3190/3192 214/224 @ 0.050" on a 114LSA .565/.605" (1.6 rockers)

You will be TOTALLY disapointed with that cam.. had it.. went to a XE... that cam is to tame specially for a 383...

After 5200rpm... that cam just went free fall.`

I dissagree, I curretly have a zz3 cam and had it in my vett adn it was pretty good with the charger @ 10psi. I want to have a little larger cam with good streetability and idle quality. I ran low 12's in my Z with the zz3, afr heads and 8psi.
