Supercharger tune ?

If I buy the ati kit that comes with the predator tuner, can i get just as good a tune with the predator as i can by bringing it to a shop? Or would it be better if i just took it to a shop. I would like to have the predator anyway just to have it for future gears and such.

I guess the the program that comes with the kit will be good for a base tune but to gain all the hp you can. i would get it dyno tuned.

Agreed. Whenever you are pushing your car hard as in a supercharger setup, I really think you need to dyno your car and preferably dyno tune it. You may used the program if you know how to use it well, but you still should dyno tune it with a program. It is very important to get the A/F ratio correct and then you can play with the timing to get the most power out.

If it comes with a base supercharger tune program, I would probably use that to drive the car to the dyno and dyno tune it further or at least dyno it to check A/F and listen for detonation.

good luck

The air/fuel ratio you are looking for in a supercharged car is somewhere between 11 and 12 to 1

11:1 being richer than 12:1

All this talk implies that you will have a way to adjust the A/F ratio when the time comes.

An adjustable FMU or a bleed screw or the Power Enrichment table in your PCM.

Hope this helps
