supercharged

well I'm playing with the idea of getting a Supercharged setup, this will not happen until way later down the road but I wanted to ask a question.
If the motor was built to handle boost, doing all the internals etc.. how long will it last longevity wise? 2yrs 10yrs 12yrs???

If the motor is built for boost, i.e forged crank, rods, pistons, 4bolt mains and all the supporting mods like bolts, bearings, gaskets and etc, you should have a setup that will run the life of the car..provided the motor was professionally built, your fuel system is spot-on, and you run a conservative tune, you should be able to enjoy the motor for a while. It's impossible to tell you how much time you have in years, but i'll tell you this..on a stock motor, you don't have much.
