I wouldnt run more then 6psi personally. 8psi maybe...

How long before a rebuild? Do a search. This is covered in a million threads. Could be 30,000 miles, could be 500 miles. Depends on the tune, how you drive it, and the condition of the motor.

With a good tune, 5 psi is pretty safe. Doing forced induction is always a risk. If there is an issue, it can destroy your engine. There are many people who run 8,10, even 12psi on a stock engine. I personally have mine just set at 5psi. I am adding a FMIC and injectors and will run 7 or 8. Thats it for my otherwise stock engine. Also keep in mind that with the STS, anything over 5 or 6, you really need to do meth or intercooler.
