Spray or no spray?

I've got a question about NOS. I've got a friend that has offered me a complete system that retails for 1200.00 for only 600.00. I'm going to go ahead and buy it even if I resale it, but it's got me wondering about putting it on my car. I've heard that it might not be the best thing to do with a supercharger installed? Are any of you guys with a SC spraying at all? If so, where and how much? I don't mind adding mods to my car but I really don't want to tear something up that I can avoid either.

There are guys running dual power adders, (Rich is one who has been VERY successful with it) but with your stock internals I don't think its such a good idea.

Swap out your hyper slugs and put in some forged you should be able to do it without too much trouble..but thats only the tip of the iceberg when it comes to what is totally needed.

I agree with the previous post. Adding juice to your current configuration is just asking for trouble. Now, that being said, if you have the money for a better motor laying around, then I say go ahead and spray it until it blows!

Re: Spray or no spray?

Come on guys... Go for the gusto! I did. Never had any issues with the stock internals. Then my oil pump went. Damn.... never saw that one comin' But there all right, you may run for a while, but the stock guts weren't ment for big power. More so the pistons. If your gonna dual, be ready for a rebuild.

Blower and nitrous complement each other, the nitrous helps to cool the compressed air from the blower, while adding more power from the added oxygen and fuel. But, as stated above, your stock pistons won't take the added power.

Re: Spray or no spray?

I recommend spraying only if you have the bottom end to withstand it. I currently run a 75 shot wet system at WOT. It does keep the intake charge down and it cleans the plugs. I am thinking of going to a 100 shot but not more than that without a F.A.S.T. system and a more elaborate NOS system. I never really liked NOS but now that I learned a little more about it I think its a good idea.

Re: Spray or no spray?

would make for a good experiment. or maybe we could hold a contest. everyone pitch in a few bucks for a guess as to how much it will take. when it finally goes south you have some rebuild money.

Re: Spray or no spray?

Tubby that sounds like a good idea!! If we could just raise enough for the rebuild then I'd be willing to spray the **** out of it and she how far she would go. I guess I'll just wait untill I redo my internals then I'll try a 100 shot. Thanks for all the advice.
