Spray Bars on your intercoolers

Anyone have Nitrous spray bars on your intercoolers? Do you purge on the intercoolers or do you spray on the intercoolers? I was thinking of getting a supercharger/intercooler kit and was thinking that instead of wasting a purge I could purge on the intercoolers and cool them off...? Is this even possible? Do most you guys that have supercharger and intercooled systems run NOS? Do you spray into the inlet between the intercooler and the supercharger, or between the charger and the intake? Anyone use nozzles and a supercharger?

I sprayed between the charger and tb. Ran like an 11.6 @ 86mph letting off from excessive wheelspin. LOL Just tapped the inlet tube and pointed the nozzles into the intake. You could also spray the intercooler from the outside to keep it safe. I believe NX makes a kit.

Given the option, I'd put the Nitrous in after the intercooler. That way, the intercooler cools it near ambient, then the Nitrous cools it below ambient.

If you put it before the intercooler, the ambient air may actually heat the mixed charge.

i wouldnt waste the money on it. id go with an alky kit. gallon of alky will get ya roughly a month of use before needing to refill and its only 2.50 a gallon or so from home depot, whereas nitrous is like 1.90 a lb...

Not worth it. My old setup had a purge line run to the front of the intercooler just so I wouldn't waste anything. The actual shot went in just under where the hard piping enters the engine bay on the driver's side.

How about Nozzles, and a supercharger? Better than spraying into the intake stream?

I'm mulling over raming a 50 shot down the throat of my 383 and my intention is to use a dry 50 shot (will get the kit from www.dynotune.org )and let the FAST system handle the extra fuel.

I'm a frugal bastard as well and intend to send the purge through my frount mount intercooler....why waste it?

1st and goal, I did the same thing on my last combo (non-intercooled 355 with 14 psi) and, when you already have 600+ hp, you can't even feel it.

Hey Marc, nice to see you got your setup back up and running. I had all the nitrous stuff ready to go onto my TA (except I was gonna run a 75-100 shot) when I decided to go w/ the monster twins instead. Might want to double check on the FAST nitrous activation setup. I always thought it was only good down to a 75-shot, but it may work down to a 50. Wouldn't the first time I've been wrong this year.

The front mount purge would use a little more nitrous than a normal purge because of the extra long purge line. I used to have a ****load of line to use on that, but we used it all on the two turbo cars and my other side project (5.0 Mustang spraying the house down).

Checked out the dynotune site too...we all know you were wanting this instead.

I can probably hook you up with an new NX purge kit if you want one. I've got a buddy who's a dealer that I get good prices through.

Also, I ran a 75 on the second stage of the Mustang and I could feel it pretty good. This was on top of a 200-hp 1st stage. Good times until the motor came apart...literally.
