Solid or Hydrualic Turbo Setup

Would you run hydraulic or solid roller with a turbo setup to make 1000rwhp? And why? Trying to figure out if i need to or not

For 1krwhp a hyd roller would be more than adequate. We have them running 7,500+rpm reliably, and have made 1,162rwhp with a hyd roller in a turbo LS1 car.

So I should be able to get the 1000rwhp mark with a hydraulic roller without a problem? Solid rollers a just a hassel to keep up with..

You could choose which you want, IOW it's optional. A second mortgage is mandatory.

Well i decided to go with a hydraulic roller cam for my turbo setup.. Does anyone know what the hp difference would be on a turbo setup with a hydrualic cam instead of a solid?

I've heard people claim 50 hp difference when going from a hydraulic to a solid roller. However, I really believe that aggressive hydraulic lobes (Comp Extreme or XFI) with properly setup springs will perform as good as a solid.

Too many variables to just claim a hp # difference. Your next step should be concentrating on which hydraulic roller cam is best for your goals of 1000rwhp with te GT47-88.

Exclamation HYD Rollers

The key to hyd rollers just like any valve train setup is
to keep the wieght out of the reciprocating or moving
parts of it, while making it strong enough to withstand
the RPM.
Lite wieght valves, titanium retainers, lite wieght rollers,
rockers, ect.

I run all of the above plus the AFR Hydra Rev setup.
I can pull strong thru 7200 but 6800 feels like the sweet
spot

Just my 2 centavos
