single pattern cams for forced induction
single pattern cams for forced induction
Like it says are they right for FI or do you need more of one or the other? I think you make more torque with a single pattern naturally aspirated for some reason just wondering if ti was the same in FI.
I am assuming you mean a centrifugal SC when you say "forced induction", since turbo cams are altogether different. In general, cams for cars with a centrifugal blower need more exhaust duration (and perhaps lift) than intake to allow for enough exhaust flow. The blower forces a lot of additional air (and fuel) into the motor, and it needs time to get out!
Most cams which work well on a car with a centrifugal blower and "typical" heads (with exhaust flow = 75-80% of the intake) have 10-14 degrees more exhaust than intake duration.
