Simple Intake Tubing Question for Vortech owners...

There is the small elbow, the flex hose, and the hard plastic tube... There are 3 holes in the hard plastic tube, one is for optispark vent, one is for PCV and then there is a third BIG hole and when I got the kit there was nothing in it and I don't know wtf goes in there and it's really starting to **** me off considering I just ordered more parts from Vortech and the one I needed wasn't there. Is it for the AIR pump? Mine is deleted. Is it for the Bypass valve??? If so what fitting goes in there???

What goes there

I beleive that big hole goes to a hose that connects to the BOV.

So there is a fitting that screws in there and then connects to the bypass valve hose??? What does the piece look like that is the only damn thing I'm missing.

Fitting

I have a brass fitting that screws in and has a ridged edge on the other side for the hose to slide on. You might be able to find that peice or something simular that will work at you local hardware store.

That's definitely where the Bypass valve comes back into the intake.

If you are going to use a BOV then just block it off.

You can also think about getting a hard intake tubing instead of that flimsy dryer hose. You may get a pound or so of more boost. I got my from from Brad Brand from Atlanta Chasis Dyno, nice piece but around $200.

cheers

Thanks for the clarification Hugh... Ever since I saw that Brent Franker had a solid intake tube from Brad Brand I have wanted one, it looked like a nice piece... I had school all day today but I am going to check out the hardware store tomorrow and see if I can find something that will work. Thanks again to both of you.
