Should I or shouldn't I.....

Well the last few months has been hard with the things with the Camaro car is coming around really well chassis is finished and turbo system is finished all is left is the bottom end and wiring minor things.

Now I might be just in the stages of tired of dealing with this thing but I am looking to going to the dark side

Might sell off all my turbo stuff and drop in a big block on the giggle. (cost differential shouldn't be too much)

I know the current combo will make more power than I want as well as the nitrous setup.

Anyone looking for a full on race turbo system (no exspence spared system)

It's kind of funny you mention that.. My buddy has a 540" Shafiroff motor that made 750hp on the dyno.. He wants to trade me that motor for my motor/turbo setup... He'll throw in a pro-shot fogger too.. It's got me interested..

it's basically the big block seen here with upgraded heads, cam, and carb. http://www.shafiroff.com/ultrastreet.asp

good luck, whatever you decide to do..

To me its a hard call I just have been tinkering with a few turbo setups in the last few days and I full well realize how much a big hp sbc costs and then look at how easy shops make big blocks make serious power na muchless on the giggle.

I personally have a few wants in a BBC if I would go that way its just a hard call guess after 1.5-2 years of steady work and delays from vendors on products I just want to race.

How is your car doing Brady?

I think a big block would be simple compared to a twin turbo sbc, as far as fitment goes..

The big block I was speaking of now resides in my old Chevelle.. Pics here: http://www.turbocharged.net/Chevelle/chevelle3/

My car is good. I didn't have a very good year last year, we had lots of "issues" getting the car to run right, turned out to be a combo of bad valve springs and a bad opti.. I've got the heads at GTP right now, and bought one of those LTCC things

We just finished the cage, and I'm getting the car ready for the paint booth. Still need to clearance for 30" tires... Just little stuff.. I'll have the car ready for the Hot Rod Power Tour by the end of May.. Then look to run some decent numbers.. Best we could muster last year was low 6's at 115ish.. Looking to dip to 5.70-80's at 120ish hopefully. I don't think the factory LT1 castings will take me much further than that.. Right now I just want to see how fast I can go on stock heads... If I don't go big block, I'll go with a little M and a big thumper in the 1500ish horsepower range.. All the while trying to keep the car street legal.

later bro

I vote you stick with the turbo's. I've been waiting too long to see the results of that project.

I know that turbos win hands down on full on power and long road power.

Been doing a lil reading on prices of bb's and what it is going to take to finish up the turbo setup.

Right now I gotta make a few calls tommorrow and see about some additional things but big block is costing more than i really figured (when i sit down and see what I really want.)

Looks like full crack motor 600+ci is gonna get above the 25k limit i set,

I guess i just needed to really blow off some steam thanks all for giving me a lil bit of a push

Tommorrow call engine shops then think for the weekend before posting forsale or not forsale
