Unfortunately they do not have any pics of the tensioner on their website. I would take a picture for you but I have so much crap in my car that I do not think it would come out clear.

Here's a mock-up pic on a big block. There is also a fixed idler just to the crankshaft side of the tensioner that is not installed in this pic. Scott's tensioners work very well and are infinitely adjustable which helps a lot if you change pulleys and belt lengths.

Oh, you must click the procharger link in the left menu bar to view the pics in the second link.

Just tried.

A spring loaded tensioner is THE way to go; I fought single and double fixed idler set-ups in the past. Always dealt with belt slippage issues. The spring loaded tensioner will compensate for the belt and bracket movement which is inevitable with these blowers. Any flex in the bracket or pulleys causes the belt to lose tension, but the spring loaded one eliminates that issue. Scott's are the best, better bearings than the ATI unit and more adjustable. You'll need to get ahold of him for a firm price. (401) 732-4047

I believe I paid 450.00. It is well worth it. I made 14 psi (705rwhp) out of my F1 with no belt slippage whatsoever. This was running a single 6-rib belt also.

well, i'm 99% sure none of my parts are flexing. but during idle my tensioner bounces around. so i made a bracket that holds it firm, tighter than with the engine off. and the belt is tight as hell.
until now i was pretty sure this was a good idea, but maybe not.
my last time to the track, yesterday, didn't go so well. and it looks like slipage may be part/whole of my problem. gonna take that bracket of.

i have a 6 rib also. with a bran new belt, i saw 14 psi, ONCE. it has never done it again, and it ran great that one time. now, if i can just get it to do that all the time ..........

forever learning ...................... the hard way
