S-trim to T-trim upgrade?
S-trim to T-trim upgrade?
My current set up in a 95 Z-28 Vortech S-trim, A4 is ...
Steel Callies crank
-31 cc dish SRP forged pistons
AFR 190cc heads with 58cc chamber to make 8.9 - 9.0:1 compression ratio.
Crane 1.5 non self aligning roller rockers
Comp cams 224/236 114lsa
SVO 42# injectors
Super FMU
Oliver connecting rods, 5.7"
ARP head studs and bolts
Splayed 4 bolt main caps
made 525 at the wheels through a plugged cat ... so I'm feeling the need to turn up the wick just notch or 2 more. The T-trim upgrade, I understand, is a bolt on operation.
What would be the expected power gain if I maintained the same pulley combination of 3.125" blower X 7" crank pulley??
Am I likely to need yet larger injectors, I'm currently running SVO 42#injectors with the constant set to 47#, or will the FMU be up to the task?? I ask this because at present I see 58psi of fuel pressure at 8psi of boost @ 6,100 rpm
The transmission?? An A4 with all relavant heat and pressure tables bumped up with LT1 editor, 2 extra clutch frictions in the 3 - 4 clutch pack, a "Super hold" 2nd apply servo, a mild shift kit and heavy duty 3rd release springs. Any thoughts here?? The car runs real nice, but the way it pulls from a 110mph kick down ... just is not what the GM engineers were designing for ...
I'm not contemplating slicks yet, so, the stock rear end should hold up just fine ... ??
Can any of you 600hp guys give me the low down on how much a good psychiatrist costs ...
Any comments appreciated

I have more or less your same setup... pistons alike.. etc etc etc..., Same heads and cam also
now... I am using 50# injectors and a superfueler... with 3 96# and I will be upping to a T-trim later...
Get the cats out.. it will help easily 30rwhp
You cn still use a smaller pulley on the S-trim... no problems there...
I have gotten 606 out of mine and I wanted to up to a T-trim... Richard said to me.. Get better heads... so I guess that goes for you too...
Using the same pulley you see a bit more boost.
I did 555 with a worn impeller and just 8psi.
Compression is 9.07:1 withthat combo assuming a flat deck.
Rear will hold easily w/o slicks
Tranny will suffer...
