S-Trim 383 Pulley Sizing Question
S-Trim 383 Pulley Sizing Question
I just picked up an S-Trim... and I need advice on Pulley Sizing.
My motor is a 383,w/CC305, 9.5:1 CR, and some 295 CFM flowing heads... I want to run about 8-9#'s of boost. What size of pulley am I going to need, and how close to the MAX impeller speed will I get at 6k RPM?
Thanks.

I ran that blower
. Keep the blower pulley and run the 7" crank pulley. That gave me 8 lbs on boost (I had bigger heads then you and lower compression) so you should be at 8.5-9.I made 470 rwhp non-intercooled with ignition issues. Once those issues were cleared, I ran 122 mph in the 1/4 spinning thru first and second.
I currently have an S-Trim with 6" crank pulley and 3.33 Blower pulley with 9.3:1 CR and Stock heads P&P putting out 5 to 5.5 PSI. I am probably going to go to the 6.66" crank pulley to get me to the 8 to 10 PSI range.
