S or T- Trim vs P600b

How does the vortech compare against a p600b? Lets say on a 500 rwhp setup and run in the 11's. I know the most boost people have gotten out of the p600b is about 15#s. How much on the vortechs for the lt1. How do the vortechs aftercooler compares to the fmic setups on the procharger units? The reason i choose the the p600b is cause i can get a great deal on it, or i would just get a d-1sc, but i do only want to run low to mid 11's.

I would say you would have to go with a T-trim I dont think (dont quote me) you can get the S trim or 600B that high in boost.

You should be able to find all the info on the p600b on the web. The s-trim can make 20 psi and support 680hp and 1000 cfm. On your LT1 it would probably make around 12 psi. On my built 383 it maxes out around 9 psi.

I like the water cooler better. It cools better (more power) and you can mount it where you want. It doesnt have to sit in the bumper.

There's also methanol injection.....

I would think that shouldn't be any problem. How quick is it now?

Havent been to the track with the boltons i have. But i think it should be in the bottom of the 13's or even high 12's. Hopefully i should atleast see a 1 second with a blower.

boost is a reference of inlet restriction and will vary on different motors and combos. looking at the flow capability and specs of the blowers is more important. for e.g X blower on a 302 mustang with oem heads etc may register 20+lbs of boost at Y impeller rpm. but say X blower on a 383cid sbc race motor with high flow 227cc heads it may only register 8lbs, you are flowing a same amount of air at the same blower rpm but one boost reference is lower, yet the same cfm is being output by the blower.

Right, the same blower on my old 305 made 15+ psi. On my new 383 it makes almost half that. But this new motor is much more powerful. The cfm rating of the blower is what you want to look at.
