Well yesterday i went to the track and didnt run so well. I think one problem is the car is way to RICH ..i had someone run it so i could see what they meant. When he was getiing on it mid track the car spilled out Black smoke like a diesel, The place that did the tunning was there and he said it was PIG RICH..how much performance do you lose running that way...I also dont have the ignition box in yet and i was told the spark is getting blown out in upper rpm's. So do you think thats why the car ran shi*** . And how much power will be made up when they re-tune it and put the accel 300 plus back on?

 

Well if your running rich then you will have the black smoke smoke coming out the exaust. Sound slike your car needs to be leaned out some. To answer your qustion, yes you are losing horspower by running so rich. And if it is too rich then it will run like crap and you'll also smell it. As far as your spark being blown out, its very possible. Usually closing the gap in your plugs will help and so would a ignition box.

 

Thanks i have to go Weds,to get the ignition box installed and a new coil.They are going to back on the dyno and re-tune it i hope the car will run good then.Right now it has a high rpm miss or it feels like it cant go anymore almost like a rev limiter..
