Just looking to get back on the road. I lost interest sold my Trans Am a few years ago but kept the motor i built and never ran. I just recently purchased a 97 Camaro with a locked down engine. I was thinking about throwing the low compression motor I had built in it for now. Maybe this will get me motivated to start throwing money at it again. Will it hurt any to run this with no turbo/super charger for a while...?

 

Nope. Might not hurt to pull it apart and lube everything before you shove it in the car though.

 

Won't hurt it one bit. I did this for a while. Only thing is that you lose about 5% hp for every full point of compression. In other words, a 350 hp 8/1 engine would make a little over 400 hp at 11/1. So, you're probably sacrificing around 50 hp.
