Reducer (4" oval to 3.5" round)
Reducer (4" oval to 3.5" round)
I finally had to construct a reducer from the twin-intercooler ouputs up top (4 in oval) to a 3.5" to close in on the MAF sensor. Due to the twists and angles, nothing off-the-shelf would really work. Took it to my good ol' boys muffler shop and cut and hammered a funky, but effective, reducer with cut angles and lots of torch 'n hammer work. At the end, it even had the bolt for the IAT sensor!
This is what happens when you move the MAF sensor from the vacuum to the pressure side...lots of little what-nots to reconfigure. But more than worth it. Car runs smooth throughout the RPM range and power.
