so everyone here is mounting to the bumper suport and taking out all of the plastic right? Cause I thought I had to notch away at the plastic just enough to fit the sucker in there

If your talking about the styrofoam that actually fills the void of the front bumper; I notched mine to fit around the intercooler and then re-mounted it. If not, I don't remember having to cut any plastic.

I left most of the bumper intack and just cut a relief hole. I used one inch angle iron to make the L brackets for mounting to the bumper. I was able to use all the stock mounting points for the front air damn. I used autotechnica grill material from summit and fllexable windshield glue to glue the grill material in.

Yeah I know what your talking about now; Hard black plastic "mesh pattern" of squares (#8). It fulfills the same purpose as the styrofoam on mine does. (More Crash area). You can either cut it to fit around the IC or I think some people have completely removed it.

That's what I did to mine, but I haven't actually mounted the intercooler and test fitted the bumper yet. It looks like there is enough clearance between the metal suport and the bumper cover to fit the intercooler there.

Do you have a picture of yours? Did you cut any of the metal support behind the plastic at all? How thick is your core, 4"?

Thanks
