I am planning on getting an STS turbo system for my Formula and I was curious if installing 6.0 L heads would be beneficial due to the fact that they'd drop the compression ratio down so I could run additional boost. I know from my experience with turbo Buicks that low compression and more boost makes a lot more power than high compression and less boost, but I didn't know if the same applied to an LS1 engine. I also plan on porting these heads if I do get them to get the most out of this setup. Any opinions/ideas?

 

A lot of LS1 guys run those heads with FI motors. They seem to work great with boost from what I've read.
