question about Boost and PCV valves

question about Boost and PCV valves
Are the PCV valves for the supercharged Buicks (GNX?) and Pontiac Sunbirds (Solstice GXP?) different from the unboosted ones? Do they have an air tight seal against backflow or like all other PCV valves allow a very small amount of reverse flow?

Re: question about Boost and PCV valves
What some of us did was use a brake booster check valve going into the bung below the throttle body - the pcv valve just stayed in its normal location. So when the manifold was under positive pressure (boost), it closed the check valve, but when it was negative pressure (vacuum), the valve opened and the pcv worked like normal.

Thanks for the tip! That sounds like a very good solution. I'll try that. Since I have already moved my PCV and fitted a knock-out to keep fugitive oil out of the intake, inserting one will be easy. Since the "normal" flow direction through the stock and alternate PCV valves seems to have no noticeable restriction, I wonder if a PCV valve is even necessary! Hmmmm ... I might try that too and see what happens.
