Pulley Sizes for a YSi-trim

Hey guys,

I have just placed my order for a new YSi-trim and I was wondering which pulleys should i order for around 12psi boost and 700rwhp.

I was thinking on buying 10-ribbed 7.4 crank pulley from ASP, but I dont know at what RPM impeller the ysi will make the power im interested in.... I shouldn't be even close to maxing this thing out. so...

Let me know what you guys think..

Thanks

I am using a cog pulley system, where the crank and blower pulleys are measured by the number of teeth and are essentially 8" and 2.95". I had very bad luck or varying performance with my 8-rib setup.

Why go with a blower that big if you do not plan on making 800 rwhp? The blower is designed to be run hard. If 700 rwhp is your mark I am sure you could have gone with a smaller head unit.

Yes, we made the 869 rwhp with the 8-rib setup and you can see the results of the belt slippage in the wavy dyno chart. Still don't have a dyno on the cogs.

I strongly recommend that you use a cog setup.

AY AY AY... im glad i bought it.. if I ever wish (which I HOPE NOT) to go over.. it means i can use that same setup... Heads will/should flow over 300cfms so... The YSi seems like a good choice...

Anyways.. I think I'll go with the 7.4" crank and 3" pulley maybe.

Question:

What are you using for tensioner and bracket?

Fixed tensioner and idler pulley. Bracket is a heavily modified T-trim bracket from a company in Colorado Springs. RMCA?? or similar.

I will look into it, as i know it can put quite a stress into that bracket.
