PTK or Turbo Tech??

Out of the two "normal" turbo kits, which do you think is better? They both seem like good kits with the turbo tech being about 500 less and comes with an air-to-air intercooler. Does any body know the power numbers produced out of each? If you haven't seen the turbo tech kit check out detroitspeedworks.com Lets hear what everybody thinks.

Not sure if TT has changed their design, but the downpipe was very small on the original design. I'd go PTK, but that's me. I know of at least one guy on the board w/ the PTK setup.

PTK uses tubular headers instead of a stock manifold and a log turbo manifold, and uses a 3" downpipe instead of a 2.5" downpipe.

FWIW- I'm using PTK's headers, crossover pipe and intercooler and building all the piping and 3.5" downpipe.

i'm running a TT manifold and xover. made my own 3 inch dp

FYI: i'm going to be replacing the TT manifold with a custom tubular unit. Should see some excellent gains

Nothing but problems with the TT setup trying to make bigger HP numbers. If all your looking for is 100Hp and never want more then this kit may be OK, but nothing more. I was always having problems getting exhuast manifold gaskets to seal, had the header crack on me, and when running high boost (16-18psi) I was getting coolant seepage from the head gaskets even with a 1074 gasket and ARP bolts, with stock bolts and gaskets I just stretched the bolts and resulted in a release of coolant in my engine bay at the track none-the-less.

I sold the kit, and am making a twin kit. I'm hoping to be much happier!
