Thanks. I was wondering about the heads because of the single pattern cam. The car is making awsome power, and I was just wondering if the heads had good exhaust flow, or a good e/i ratio . Basically i was trying to find out if thats what made you decide to go with the single pattern cam. (Which seems to be working well.)

Isn't that about the same "size" cam INTMD8 uses?

Re: PTK Turbo

Not sure if Jim is using that cam or not.But its probably pretty similar since I think Jim said it was a small cam. You can't get much smaller then that..lol. Reason I chose that cam though, was the owner said his exhaust runners were not worked much on. Also the LT1 doesn't flow as well on the exhaust side as an LS1 which you can run a reverse split with great results if using a true turbo header system. On the LT1 with the exhaust runner not being worked much I like to hang the valve open a little longer on the exhaust as long as the system is running an efficient turbo and header. Now if the design of the turbo system uses a log manifold, then I run a reverse split, even if the exhaust port flows great. Reason being is a log manifold elavates exhaust backpressure substantially which can lead to reversion.

Re: PTK Turbo

The owner dynoed his car yesterday....he called me with the #'s are below. I'm wondering what a T88 would do in its place. I am thinking of sending him my T88 and 3" dp to test it...hmmm

Results were with C16 and straight ice water in IC @ 18psi. The ice water fudges the correction factor a bit, but I calculate probably 15-25rwhp less.

Awesome numbers! What do suspect he'd make on pump gas?

Re: PTK Turbo

Well the track #'s he ran which was 139.90mph at 3680 lbs, is about 640-690rwhp...somewhere in that range. That was on pump gas, 13psi and ice water.

Must resist... urge... to use... credit card...

Simply incredible, what does his fuel system look like to support those numbers?

Re: PTK Turbo

He copied my fuel system which is simple and consists of just dual inline HP 255 walbro's, sumped tank, 10an feed, 6 an return, 72lbs deka's and the fuel rails modded for the AN fittings.

Re: PTK Turbo

BTW, he is going to run it with that setup this weekend and try some other things for me. I hope the drivetrain doesn't take a dump. He is still running the stock 93 6spd which isn't as strong. So cross your fingers....lol

Re: PTK Turbo

Out of curiosity, is that 355 still a 2-bolt main?

Re: PTK Turbo

No its a 4 bolt splayed conversion. I don't think I would push the stock 2 bolt that far, but that is just me. I have some pretty crazy customers though that do some questionable things...lol

Re: PTK Turbo

New track results are in..I will try to post them later, when its less busy today. Track was slick so the ET's weren't much better, but the mph was alot higher.
